We (formerly Nashaway Trackers) are a group of loosely connected nature lovers who enjoy sharing our observations and discoveries about the fauna and flora of the northeastern US. Most of us are especially interested in mammal tracks and sign, but we also post about birds, insects, plants, etc.

Quabbin Black Bear
My wildlife camera captured this black bear walking across a rocky outcropping near Quabbin.
Do you think it's the same bear as this one, captured a few hundred yards away, earlier this year?
looks like a fairly large Black Bear, in our area the Black Bear range from 150 lbs to 300 lbs. I have them raid my birdfeeders all the time. My trailcam catches them in the early morning hours.
Love the Quabbin! Got to do some tracking there this summer. Saw great stuff.
