This is a close up of the middle of the area. If you look closely you can see several tracks that look more like hawk than owl.

That must have been quite the scuffle. Any idea what the prey may have been?
ReplyDeleteNo fur, feathers, scat, guts, blood or other clues. Something subnivean or perhaps this was not where the prey was actually taken, but only a spot where the raptor struggled to maintain altitude with its load?
