In keeping with Lars' last blog entry, I thought I'd post this photo recently captured by my motion-detecting camera. Those of us who heard Jonathan Way's fascinating presentation on eastern coywolves during the Trackers Conference in October will likely agree that this coyote sure LOOKS like it's got wolf ancestry.
Nice work, Susan. I missed the talk, but think it's so important for trackers to be aware of how predators and other wildlife are adapting and evolving, as we strive to teach others to tolerate them. Lately, it seems like everywhere I look and listen, I find people who want to destroy this or that species. Yet the resilience of nature is inspiring.
